Gas Turbines for Sale: Models, Prices and Buying Guidance
Compare gas turbines for sale by model, package scope and condition. SecondWatt brings together model research, pricing context and sourcing inquiries to help buyers define what they need before evaluating an offer.
A gas turbine price is meaningful only when you know what it includes. An engine assembly, a turbine-generator package and an installed power plant have different scopes. Use this hub to compare equipment, understand the costs beyond purchase, and prepare a sourcing request for your project.
The model directory is a research catalogue. A model appearing here does not establish that a particular unit is currently available. Confirm the offered configuration, seller authority, condition, price and delivery terms for each opportunity.

Gas turbine prices and cost per kW
Current asking-price records
No SecondWatt marketplace listing currently meets this hub’s pricing-table requirements: a defined package scope, stated exclusions and a traceable source. Model pages may separately discuss third-party advertisements with their limitations.
How much does a gas turbine cost?
Gas turbine cost depends on the exact model and variant, equipment condition, maintenance history, included systems and commercial terms. Start by separating three scopes:
Engine or turbine assembly
Which major assemblies are included, their identities and condition, and which generator and package systems must be obtained separately.
Turbine-generator package
Whether the offer includes the generator, controls, enclosure, inlet and exhaust systems, auxiliaries, electrical equipment and other equipment required by your specification.
Installed generating project
The equipment scope plus the applicable site works, fuel infrastructure, electrical works, emissions controls, transport, engineering and commissioning.
For gas turbine cost per kW, divide the stated price by the corresponding power rating in kilowatts. Record the rating basis beside the result. Comparing one offer on an ISO reference rating with another on net output at site conditions can make the prices look more comparable than they are.
Price per kW = quoted equipment price ÷ corresponding rated kW. This compares acquisition prices on a stated basis; it does not calculate electricity production cost.
Historical listings can help establish context, but a public asking price is not evidence of a completed sale. A sold or withdrawn listing is not current inventory. Compare observations with similar scope, condition and rating basis before drawing a pricing conclusion.
For a model-specific example, read the GE LM2500 price and package-scope guide.
Gas turbine generator cost versus total project cost
Onsite gas generation equipment cost is one part of a project budget. A useful gas turbine cost estimation also identifies the applicable costs of inspection, repairs, transport, site preparation, fuel supply, electrical integration, permitting and commissioning. Ask each supplier to identify inclusions and exclusions rather than assuming that a package price covers an operating installation.
Acquisition cost and operating cost answer different questions. Compare fuel use, maintenance requirements and the intended operating profile separately. See the gas turbine operating-cost guide for the distinction between equipment cost per kW and fuel cost per MWh.
Compare gas turbine manufacturers and models
Use the directory to open the dossier for the exact model family, then verify the variant and offered package. Manufacturer names and family ratings alone do not establish the output, electrical compatibility or condition of a particular unit.
GE and GE Vernova gas turbines
Begin with the GE LM2500 gas turbine, GE LM6000 gas turbine, GE Frame 5 or GE Frame 6 dossier. Compare the engine designation, package configuration, service records and rating basis for the equipment being offered.
Siemens Energy gas turbines
Buyers researching Siemens industrial gas turbines and Siemens combustion turbines should distinguish the model, generation and electrical configuration. Start with the Siemens SGT-800 gas turbine, Siemens SGT6-5000F gas turbine and SGT-A35 dossiers.
An SGT-800 gas turbine price needs to be tied to a particular configuration and scope. When comparing used Siemens gas turbines, request maintenance and upgrade records alongside the commercial offer. SecondWatt's secondary-market research should not be treated as an official Siemens gas turbine price list.
Solar Turbines
Compare the Solar Taurus 60, Solar Mars 100, Solar Titan 130 and Solar Titan 250 dossiers. Establish whether the offer is for a power-generation package or a different equipment arrangement before comparing specifications.
Mitsubishi Power and Mitsubishi Power Aero
Research the Mitsubishi H-25, Mitsubishi H-100 and FT8 MOBILEPAC dossiers. Keep the exact package designation attached to its specifications and price evidence.
Choosing a 3 MW, 10 MW or 20 MW gas turbine generator
A search for a 3 MW gas turbine generator, a 10 MW gas turbine or a 20 MW gas turbine generator is a starting point for equipment selection. Define the power required at your site, the operating duty, electrical frequency and voltage, fuel specification and required service date before building a shortlist.
When comparing a 10 MW gas turbine generator price, ask whether the quoted output is a reference rating or the expected output under your project's conditions. Establish the auxiliary loads and the point at which net power is measured. Use the gas turbine derating and site-output guide to prepare those questions.
For smaller requirements, establish whether a small industrial turbine, microturbine or another generation technology belongs in the comparison. The directory is not a promise of equipment availability at every capacity.
Gas turbine procurement: from requirements to inspection
- Define the requirement. Specify site conditions, required net power, operating profile, fuel, electrical interfaces, package scope and project dates. Use the gas turbine RFQ checklist.
- Establish the offered asset. Request the exact equipment identities, ownership or seller authority, location, included systems and available records.
- Review condition and scope. Examine operating and maintenance history, inspection records, preservation status, controls and package completeness. Agree the inspection and testing scope with qualified specialists.
- Compare the complete commercial offer. Identify exclusions, inspection conditions, warranties, payment arrangements, title transfer and transport responsibilities. Deposit and escrow terms belong in the negotiated agreement.
- Confirm the path to operation. Review the applicable site, fuel, electrical, environmental and other project requirements with the responsible specialists. An equipment delivery date and a commissioning date are separate milestones.
How this page is researched
Content owner: Gary Martin, co-founder of SecondWatt, who leads product, research and sourcing and reviews primary-source content.
Last substantive review: September 24, 2026.
What SecondWatt researched: model specifications recorded on each dossier alongside the sources cited there, and asking prices recorded from listings on the SecondWatt marketplace.
What SecondWatt has not verified: the condition, ownership, availability or final price of any individual offer. Those are confirmed for each opportunity during sourcing.
SecondWatt does not perform engineering, EPC, inspection or commissioning work. Buyers engage qualified specialists for those scopes.

Questions to ask before buying
Does refurbished mean the same thing for every turbine?
No. Request the work scope, component records, inspection and test results, and warranty terms supporting the seller's description. A refurbishment label alone does not establish that an assembly is equivalent to new equipment.
Can I compare two offers using dollars per kW alone?
No. Use dollars per kW alongside the rating basis, configuration, condition, included systems and costs outside the equipment offer. The lower acquisition figure does not by itself establish the lower cost to deliver the required power.
Are all models in the directory available to purchase now?
The directory provides model research. Ask for confirmation of a specific opportunity's availability, configuration, condition and commercial terms before relying on it for a project.
What should I include in a sourcing request?
Include the project location, required net power, frequency and voltage, operating duty, fuel, condition preferences, package scope and required delivery and operating dates. If a requirement is still being defined, identify it as an assumption to be resolved.
