Cookie Policy

How SecondWatt uses cookies and similar tracking technologies. Consent controls and category-by-category disclosure.

Last updated: May 13, 2026

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device to remember information about your visit. Similar technologies (pixels, web beacons, local storage, server-side identifiers) are covered by this policy as well. We refer to all of them collectively as "cookies".

2. How we use cookies

We use cookies to operate the Platform, remember your preferences, measure how the site is used, and — when you consent — to support marketing and visitor identification. By default, no analytics or marketing scripts load until you accept them via the cookie banner.

3. Categories we run

Strictly Necessary (always on)

Required for the Platform to function — authentication sessions, security tokens, saved-listing state, cookie-consent state itself, and load-balancing. These cannot be disabled because the site will not work without them. Examples: Supabase auth session, sw_cookie_consent, sw_cookie_consent_v2, CSRF tokens.

Analytics

Help us understand which pages are useful, where visitors drop off, and how to improve the Platform. Aggregated and pseudonymous. Examples: Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4 (loaded via our first-party subdomain tracking.secondwatt.com).

Marketing & Visitor Identification

Allow us and our partners to associate your visit with marketing channels, send relevant follow-up communications, and (for B2B visitors) identify the company associated with your visit. Examples: retargeting tags fired through GTM.

4. Manage your preferences

You can change your choices at any time. Opening preferences will let you toggle Analytics and Marketing on or off. Necessary cookies remain active because the Platform requires them.

5. Browser controls

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Doing so may break parts of the Platform that rely on necessary cookies (for example, you may be logged out repeatedly). Refer to your browser's documentation for instructions.

6. Marketing opt-out

You may opt out of certain partner-driven marketing identification by visiting https://app.retention.com/optout.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as our tooling changes. Material updates will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, by re-prompting the consent banner.
