For Power Equipment Suppliers
How dealers, refurbishers, and rental fleets work with SecondWatt: private inventory, buyer introductions you approve, and terms agreed in writing first.
Buyers reach you by introduction. Your inventory and your company name stay off the public site.
SecondWatt publishes model-level equipment research for data center and industrial power buyers. A buyer who finds the right equipment submits a requirement. SecondWatt looks for a supplier who can fill it and, when both sides agree, makes the introduction. This page explains how that works for dealers, refurbishers, rental fleets, decommissioning contractors, and distributors holding stock.
What Is Public and What Stays Private
SecondWatt does not publish a supplier directory, and equipment on this site cannot be browsed by seller. What is public: model pages built from manufacturer documentation and public research; category pages, comparison tools, and procurement articles. What stays private to you and SecondWatt: your company name; the equipment you hold, its quantity, and your asking prices; unit photographs, serial numbers, and locations.
A buyer learns who you are only after you accept an introduction to that buyer. SecondWatt staff and service providers involved in processing your information may access what they need for that work. The Privacy Policy explains how submitted information is handled.
How It Works
Apply: tell us about your company, the equipment you handle, and where you operate.
Review and setup: SecondWatt reviews each application and replies by email. Approved suppliers receive a private portal account for recording the equipment they hold.
Agree terms in writing: before any introduction, you and SecondWatt agree terms in writing — how introductions are routed, how your identity is protected, and SecondWatt's fee.
Decide on each introduction: when a buyer requirement matches your equipment, you receive the requirement and choose whether to be introduced. From there, you and the buyer handle inspection, negotiation, contract, and delivery directly. A match does not guarantee a sale.
What SecondWatt Does
SecondWatt researches equipment, matches buyer requirements to suppliers, and makes introductions. It does not buy equipment, hold inventory, take title, or represent any manufacturer, and it does not inspect, test, or warrant the equipment you sell. No supplier can pay to change a specification page, a price band, or a comparison result.
Who This Is For
Companies that regularly have data center or industrial power equipment to place: used and surplus dealers, refurbishers, rental fleets, decommissioning contractors, and distributors holding stock. Equipment includes generators, gas turbines, gas engines, fuel cells, transformers, switchgear, UPS systems, batteries, and cooling equipment. Fees and Terms
Applying, holding a portal account, and receiving buyer requirements are free. SecondWatt is paid when a transaction it introduced completes, and the fee is stated in the written terms you agree to before any introduction. The arrangement is non-exclusive. You keep every sales channel you use today.
