What the Tools Share

All four run on one set of published constants: fuel price assumptions by region, capital cost bands drawn from the same transaction data behind the Pricing Index, discount rate, and equipment lead times by category. Change an input in one tool and the same input means the same thing in the next, which is why a configuration sized here reconciles with the cost it was compared on.

Outputs are ranges, not point estimates. A twenty-year net present value quoted to the dollar would imply a precision the underlying data does not support, so results are reported as bands with the sensitivity that drives them stated alongside. Where a figure depends on a policy that is still in rulemaking, the tool says so rather than assuming an outcome.

Saving and Sharing Results

A run can be saved to an account and retrieved later from the intelligence portal, which matters when a procurement decision is revisited months after the first pass and the inputs need to be defended. Saved runs record the constants version used, so a later re-run shows what changed in the model as distinct from what changed in the project.

Limits

These are screening tools. They narrow a decision from five options to one or two and quantify the trade-offs well enough to brief a board, but they do not replace a single-line study, a protection coordination review, or a site-specific interconnection application.
