About SecondWatt
SecondWatt is the diligence layer for behind-the-meter power: equipment intelligence, a vetted marketplace, and project economics for data center buyers.
What SecondWatt Does
SecondWatt is an intelligence and marketplace layer for data center power. Buyers research equipment at the model level, compare generation technologies on cost and time to power, and reach verified supply without exposing their requirement to the open market. Sellers list surplus and decommissioned assets through a moderated flow that keeps their identity masked until SecondWatt makes the introduction.
Leadership
SecondWatt was founded by Gary Martin, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, and Bradley House, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer. Gary edits and publishes the research library; see his editorial profile.
What We Do
- Equipment research — model-level dossiers with four-tier pricing context and side-by-side comparison. Browse the equipment marketplace.
- Buyer requests — a requirement goes to the supplier network without being published to the open market. Start a request.
- Seller introductions — moderated listings with the seller's identity masked until an introduction is agreed. How suppliers work with us.
- Project economics — technology comparison and cost modelling in the Power Intelligence Tool, with acquisition capital arranged through equipment financing.
Equipment Coverage
Generators, gas turbines, gas engines, fuel cells, transformers, medium voltage switchgear, UPS systems, batteries and BESS, transfer switches, distribution, cooling and GPU systems. Category hubs: generators, gas turbines, gas engines, transformers, switchgear, UPS, load banks, and fuel cells. The full list is on the equipment index.
How We Publish
Every published figure traces to a verifiable public source. Sourcing rules, pricing bands, and refresh cadence are documented on the methodology page. Published analysis sits in articles and reports.
